May 10-17, 2014
The largest, best and most enjoyable gathering of model aircraft pilots, their families, guests and spectators in model aircraft history is now behind us. The final numbers are still being tallied but it appears that Triple Tree hosted over 1200 pre-registered pilots and had a total attendance of around 10,000 people. Use the Joe Nall 2013 photo button at left to see a sampling of the incredible models at the event this year. If you want to see some spectacular videos, go to YouTube and search Joe Nall 2013. You will find many, many videos but be sure to see HobbyKing's daily coverage. "Must sees" are Mac Hodges' incredible noon show with the B-29 carrying the X-1 under its wing and the German team's unbelievable Pitts Special/J-10 Jet formation act!!!!! Also fascinating is the in-line four cylinder, four cycle engined P-51 Reno racer that, when airborne, sounds and looks just like a full-scale racer. Lastly, check out the amazing helicopter noon demo. As the Joe Nall announcer Bob Sadler said during the show, "When it's in the air, you just move from one it's gonna crash moment to the next but it never does." Amazing skill and technology.
It was quite a show!
Next, Triple Tree and The Joe Nall would like to say a few "Thank You."
